Do. Love. Move. – ELCA World Hunger Leadership Gathering This Weekend
From September 18–21, leaders from across the country are gathering in Columbus, Ohio, for the ELCA World Hunger Leadership Gathering—a powerful time of connection, learning, and action in our shared mission to end hunger.
Held every 18 months, this signature event brings together the national network of ELCA World Hunger leaders, congregations, and ministry partners. Sponsored in part by the Mary Wennes Endowment, the gathering is a time for networking, idea sharing, and planning for how we can faithfully respond to hunger and its root causes—both locally and globally.
This year’s theme is inspired by Micah 6:8:
“[God] has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
Under the theme “Do. Love. Move: Toward a World without Hunger!”, participants will explore how we can faithfully respond to hunger through justice, compassion, and action—both in our own communities and around the world.
