On January 21, at the inaugural interfaith service in the in the Washington National Cathedral, Episcopal Bishop Mariann Budde stepped into that massive pulpit and preached a sermon on unity.

Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest will host their annual “Building Foundations” Luncheon on February 27, 2025, from 11:30-1:00 at the Marriott Phoenix Airport. We’ll look forward to carpools to support New Journey’s participation in the luncheon.

The small basket is still available at the base of New Journey’s “red door” for your donations of small (unopened) toiletries from your travels, as well as toiletries or athletic shoelaces you might purchase along the way, for refugees processed through LSS-SW in Phoenix on their way to new homes across the nation.

Join us on Sunday, February 2, 2025, for a special worship service at New Journey Lutheran Church! We're honored to welcome Grand Canyon Synod Bishop Deborah Hutterer. Bishop Deborah will be preaching and presiding over communion.

After the service, stay for a light lunch, enjoy fellowship and play "Stump the Bishop/Pastor.” Submit the questions you’ve always wanted to ask your Bishop or Pastor and we will answer them (to the best of our ability). Questions can be as simple as “what’s your favorite hymn” to “Is there such a thing as ‘just’ war?” A basket, paper and pen is available on the fellowship table for your burning questions.
