As we approach the season of Lent, we are reminded of the importance of wondering—both personally and communally—what faith means to us.

We’d like to say a big thank you to all who participated in the listening circles or provided their responses via email. We held 11 listening circles and received 9 email responses. This is a total of 44 responses that we reviewed and summarized into common themes. This participation represents over 50% of our congregation members. Fantastic job!

A Little Pruning Goes a Long Way

Recently, Denny and Gwen Rubenow tackled the church landscaping, trimming back overgrown bushes, removing dead plants, and giving the area a much-needed cleanup.

Why Should I Join the 40-40-40 Lenten Challenge 2026?

There are lots of choices for accessing daily devotions, both in print and by email. For 2026, ELCA Region 2 (including the Grand Canyon Synod) Hunger Leaders have collaborated to write daily devotions from a wide range of voices, focused on Matthew 25:37–40, “Lord, When Did We See You?”, to arrive in your email inbox each Lenten morning.

Volunteer Opportunities!

Lutheran Day at the Legislature

Lutheran Day at the Legislature: Monday, February 28, 9:30-1:30 (registration opens at 8:30). This is an opportunity to meet legislators, meet congregational LAMA liaisons, meet your LAMA policy council, and meet other Lutherans across Arizona who share a common belief that we are called through our baptismal covenant “…to strive for justice and peace in all the earth.”
