Why Should I Join the 40-40-40 Lenten Challenge 2026?
There are lots of choices for accessing daily devotions, both in print and by email. For 2026, ELCA Region 2 (including the Grand Canyon Synod) Hunger Leaders have collaborated to write daily devotions from a wide range of voices, focused on Matthew 25:37–40, “Lord, When Did We See You?”, to arrive in your email inbox each Lenten morning.
Each week of Lent focuses us on seeing our neighbors in need—the hungry, the thirsty, the stranger, the naked, the sick, and the imprisoned—and offers ideas for daily learning and/or daily action. There is a wonderful array of suggestions for persons of all ages!
We also have the opportunity to donate (suggested $1 per day of Lent) to ELCA World Hunger to support the many neighbors near and far who struggle to access sufficient food.
