What's Up with the Red Door?

During the 40-40-40 Lenten Challenge, New Journey's red door contains weekly information on the six foci in Matthew 25: 37-41 "Lord, when did we see you?" . . . hunger, thirst, the stranger, the naked, the sick, and the imprisoned. Check out the possibilities to care for neighbors in need. 

You can still sign up for the 2026 challenge (www.lentenchallenge.org) at any time during Lent. You can make a donation to ELCA World Hunger at any time through May 31 for dollars to count toward the donor match challenge of $100,000. Please use the code R2LENT2026. 

As of the end of February, 408 participants from 122 churches in Region 2 have joined the challenge. Christ the Lord of Carefree, our Northeast Valley neighbor, leads participation overall with 27 members signed-on.
