Reconciling in Christ
The Reconciling in Christ designation is part of our church’s identity. Our website displays the following information:
God has given New Journey Lutheran Church a mission to be “an instrument of God’s love for all.” Flowing from this mission, we proclaim ourselves to be an Open and Affirming worshiping community. This means we welcome people of every race, culture, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, ability, and economic status into the ministry we share. Our commitment is to the work of equity, especially racial equity, and we strive to make antiracist choices in all areas of our life together. We believe that through radical hospitality and openness, we grow in our faith through Christ’s teaching to love one another as God loves us.
In support of this designation, New Journey generously made a contribution of $500 to an organization called ReconcilingWorks to further support the RIC ministry and its longevity. To learn more about this organization, please click here:
