Quilt Blessing Sunday, October 18 and an Invitation

We will bless 25+ quilts for donation to Native American Connections or Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest. Three additional notes:  (1) All of our fabrics are donated: If you know of anyone cleaning out a sewing closet, we welcome cotton fabrics; we also use clean, gently used bed sheets (flat or fitted) as quilt backs. (2) You might be interested in “craftivism as advocacy” resources from the Women of the ELCA, as well as “Stolen Neighbors Quilt” created by the Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee. (3) Perhaps, most important: Sew Journers is an open women’s group. You do not have to be a sewer to join us. You could sort or cut fabric, thread needles, enjoy laying out designs, tie knots...or just come visit on Thursdays at 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
