New Volunteer Needed for New Journey Lay Representative to Northeast Valley Consortium Steering Committee

The Northeast Valley Consortium (NEVC), established in late 2020, is a partnership of five ELCA congregations located in the northeast part of Phoenix collaborating in ministry for the sake of the gospel. At the end of 2025, Kris Bartanen will complete her second two-year term as NJLC lay representative to the NEVC Steering Committee so a new representative will be needed. Ideally, this person might begin attending the meetings (scheduled every 4 to 6 weeks, on Zoom) in later 2025 in order to become familiar with NEVC projects. You can learn more at this web link, as well as view the recent NEVC video annual report submitted to the 2025 Grand Canyon Synod Assembly. The NEVC is particularly interested in community building across the five congregations, shared ministry projects, and joint faith development programs.
