Meet Alexis, Your New Communications Coordinator

Hello all,

I’m Alexis Johnson, your new Communications Coordinator. I started at NJLC on April 20 and will be working remotely.

Though I was born in Arizona and spent most of my life in the Southwest U.S., I now live and work in Los Angeles. I am devoted to inspiring my fellow creatives by collaborating with local arts initiatives and nonprofit organizations. I am very active at my church, where I co-lead the Creatives ministry and assist at the welcome table. I also have a rascally orange tabby cat named Sawyer.

I’ve been writing poetry, prose, and screenplays since I was in the second grade, and was convinced I’d be the next Steven Spielberg by age twelve. (My goals have changed since then haha.) I’ll be completing my MFA in Creative Writing on May 15, and I recently started my own business, Inspire Authenticity, focused on writing and education.
