Lay-Led, Clergy-Supported Ministry, Part I

The Call Committee approved the call of a Minister of Word and Sacrament (pastor), with the potential that the individual could be in candidacy or seeking a first-time call. scenarios, New Journey will need lay leadership - both in this interim period and beyond - to step forward for non-emergency pastoral care.

Specifically, New Journey needs members willing to be trained to visit ill and homebound members, including providing communion for them. Our Northeast Valley Consortium colleague, Pr. Steve Kruse of New Covenant is willing to provide a short training for New Journey lay members to serve.
