Advent and Christmastide 2025: A Season of Hope, Light, and Shared Joy

The Grand Canyon Synod invites all congregations and ministry partners to share their seasonal worship services, community events, and reflections on the 2025 Advent and Christmas page.

This special section of the Synod’s website brings together stories, blog posts, and calendar listings that celebrate how Christ’s light shines through our congregations—from Advent wreath lightings and Las Posadas processions to Christmas concerts, pageants, and acts of service.

The Synod writes:

“The season of Advent calls us to prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ—waiting in hope, peace, joy, and love. In Christmastide, we rejoice that ‘the Word became flesh and lived among us’ (John 1:14). Together, our shared stories become a living testimony of that Word made flesh in our world today.”

We look forward to seeing how congregations across the Synod embody this holy season through prayer, community, and celebration.
