Critical Need: Treasurer for New Journey

The role of Treasurer is essential to the life of New Journey Lutheran Church. This position ensures responsible financial management in accordance with our Financial Policy. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing monthly financial reports for council and congregation

• Leading council discussions on financial matters

• Managing checks, credit cards, cash, electronic transactions, and account access

• Paying bills and reimbursements

• Planning cash flow and overseeing investment accounts

Mike Bartanen has faithfully served in this role, but his council term ends in January. While Mike is willing to continue if needed, we hope to find a new Treasurer soon. Support and training will be provided during the transition.

If no volunteer steps forward, we may need to seek outside assistance—though we believe someone from our congregation is best suited for this important ministry.
