  • Did you know that NEVC partner Ascension Lutheran, now meeting at North Scottsdale Methodist (11735 N. Scottsdale Rd.), is the home for Women's Orchestra of Arizona? They provide wonderful Sunday afternoon concerts (free will offering). Upcoming dates are: October 12, “Symphonic Cinema”; November 30, Handel’s Messiah Sing-Along; February 1, 2026, “Feel the Love”; April 26, Spring Concert.   • Mount of Olives offers Second Sunday Jazz Vespers at 5:30 p.m., next on September 14, followed by light refreshments. Free will offering supports the Olive Branch Community of Hope Food Pantry, through which Mount of Olives feeds 150 families per week (3546 E. Thomas Road, Phoenix).

  • Foxes, Wine & Wheat Premieres Michael Torke’s Psalms and Canticles, September 12 at Paradise Valley UMC or September 13 at Holy Trinity Lutheran, Chandler. Admission is free (donations welcome). Featuring soprano Lariche Lamar and conductor Charles Zoll, with livestream available on YouTube.
